A Styling Project on Local TV
Yes. You got it right. It was a whirlwind of events and I ended up utterly exhausted when I got to a wine party later that night. LOL.
Sequence of events:
10 am I received an inquiry on my email from ABS-CBN, one of the major TV stations here in the Philippines.
11am - 1pm I rounded up possible contacts for clothes pull-out and boutique availability for a location shoot. Plus I had to find a model to style.
1pm - 3pm I took care of putting together the things I needed to bring like extra clothes and accessories. Of course, I had to look presentable myself, if you know what I mean.
3pm - 5pm Model and friend, Eena Acuña, came over my place so I can do her makeup before the TV crew picks us up.
6pm - 11pm Shoot, styling, profiling and interview. Gawd. I was just about ready to put away my Black Quilted Patent Peep-toe Stilts and call it a night but we had to give Eena a ride and yea, a party to attend.
Oh, yes. It happened all in one day and that was just last Saturday, 14 July 2007. LOL.
The segment was about Mix & Match styling, putting colour in one’s life. I presented three styling ideas with just one black top. My photographer (who I will not name — grrr) wasn’t around to take photos of the final outfits, hence, the lack of photos.
The show will air tomorrow, Tuesday, 17 July 2007. It’s a morning show and the title is in tagalog, “Umagang Kay Ganda” (English translation - “What a Beautiful Morning”). If you’re in the US and are subscribed to The Filipino Channel (TFC), lemme know if you get to catch it or if this show is even aired. Hehe.
Cool, yeah? Heehee.

Yay, congrats sis! Sounds exciting. Might be a fulltime career for you - styling and shopping for celebs/politicians/etc. ;-) Anyway, why don’t you record the show and maybe you can post it online?

Thanks, sis! It was but since everything was so last minute, it was exhausting. I’m so glad that things worked out (like getting shops and the model to cooperate) We’re looking into getting a copy of the show. Will definitely try to record it (currently looking for a videocam to borrow). :mrgreen:

Congrats Sasha! So happy for you. I will stalk YouTube for it. A lot of TFC subscribers post shows there. Will search then let you know. Congrats again. WOOOHOO!
