Outfit of the Week: Loose Tops and Shorts are this Summer’s Look

Nothing beats wearing something cool in a warm, sunny day — something that’s so reminiscent of the summer season, don’t you agree? ;)

Who ever said that wearing loose tops and shorts won’t come off as stylish and chic as a summer dress? I reckon the days of the shorts and tank top combos are a thing of the past. We’re now looking at great evolution, er, recycling of style pieces that was once popular a couple of decades or so past, on how to wear shorts (outside the comfort of your house) and tops in a fashionable manner.

It actually ranges from casual chic to disco glam but for now I’m going for the day wear kind. Loose tops like the one from Nanette Lepore, the embroidered top and her button shorts I found in Neiman Marcus. Pair it flat shoes, sandals, or flip flops and you’re good to go. Well, okay — throw in a few accessories like long necklaces, a pair of chandelier earrings or multiple bangles then you’re really good to go. :mrgreen:

Not only will this outfit be comfortable to wear, it’s more practical since your movement won’t be limited like how a top and skirt combo or a dress would limit it. Plus the fact that it can be worn practically anywhere and in just about any daytime occasion, er, except when you’re going to work that is. :lol:
