Key Layering Pieces To Optimise Your Wardrobe This Fall
Sometimes, you simply can never tell what the weather will be like. That’s why layering is a good thing. It enables you to work with your existing clothes in your wardrobe. Plus it’s easy on your wallets.
- 1. VESTS
Since this always gives a preppy vibe, if you wear it with a tee, your look will dramatically change. It actually made me think of Mary Stuart Masterson in the movie, Some Kind of Wonderful. But, of course, there are other vest design alternatives you can consider — sporty or chic.
- 2. LEGGINGS
You can guess the look. You can wear it underneath a babydoll or shirt dress, a denim mini, a flouncy skirt or even cuffed shorts. If you want more ideas, check this out.

It can be worn underneath a slip dress or a simple tube dress. Think “The OC” styling.
- 4. OVERSIZED CARDIGANS
The typical look would be to wear it over a tee, cami or any plain top but if you want a little more classic but sylish, go for the belted look.

If you own one in a lighter fabric like cotton or twill, you just might be able to use it as a belted dress coat if it’s a warmer day and if the weather turns a little chilly, it can function as a uber-chic layering garment.
