Who would think that a long struggle and frustration with bikini shopping will lead to a road to fame and fortune, not to mention the perfect pair of bikini?

That’s a quick look on how Lisa Curran got into designing her own swimwear line, Lisa Curran Swim. And the likes of Debra Messing and Teri Hatcher celebrates its very existence.

Her designs have personality and flavour. I learned that she takes inspiration from vintage dresses to trivial things found in someone’s home so I reckon there’s always room for surprise. I also love the colours. It’s no wonder that she’s been featured in numerous fashion magazines like Vogue, InStyle, Elle and a feature in Sport’s Illustrated Swimsuit Edition, to name a few. Huge stuff.

What makes her a specialist?

“I strive to make women exude confidence when wearing one of my designs… I know the best way to flatter a woman in a swimsuit, and that will always be my approach.” — Lisa Curran

And yea — she designs every piece, personally. Top that.

Her collection consists of Bikinis, Tankinis, One-piece Suits, Tunics, Caftans, Cover-ups, Accessories, and Maternity Swimwear.

Believe it or not, her Maternity line is something. It caters to the need of the fashion-savvy pregnant woman. I’ll show you guys a sample of my pick soon.
